Nathan has been with Battle Creek Radio since August of 2000, where he began as an intern while learning the trade at Kellogg Community College. Nate planned to go to other places to study meteorology (and take Dennis Hodges job), but he stayed put and made radio his full time gig. Growing up in the Cereal City for a majority of his life, he graduated from Gull Lake High School before earning three Associates Degrees from KCC.
Nathan has been known as "The Sports Guy" around the station, because his knowledge of anything in the wide world of sports would be talked about sometime during the day.
Outside of the station, Nathan enjoys playing any sport possible, and dabble in the studio with music. He also does play-by-play for the local cable access outlet, and is currently the Public Address Announcer for Western Michigan University Hockey. After all is said and done, he spends the rest of his time with his son, Austin.
You can hear Nathan on the High School Scoreboard Friday nights and Saturday mornings. You can also hear him during your weekday afternoons with the Local Sports Update and Traffic Reports and from 10am to 3pm on Sundays on Mix 104.9!
